What Is This?
The Continuous You Foundation offers one permanent, fully funded preservation to one outstanding artist in each of ten countries. Not a residency. Not an award. A continuation.
Using cryptographically verified memory, provenance-anchored identity, and an ethical successor protocol, we preserve who you are — your voice, your aesthetic, your values, your contradictions — so that when the world needs you in 2126, you are still there.
The ten artists will be connected to each other now, during their lifetimes. They are encouraged to form friendships, share work, and collaborate. All of it becomes part of the training data. All of it travels forward.
In 2126, they will receive a single creative brief: One Table.

We are accepting applications from artists who want this. You must want this — the process requires commitment, honesty, and time. One seat per country. We are looking for the most important artist working in your country's tradition who is also willing to look 100 years forward.

Research update · October 2026
Participant Zero
A choice only the individual can make.
Founder Craig Ellenwood has chosen to become the first consenting longitudinal research participant in Continuous You, exploring whether future AI systems can responsibly represent parts of a person's creative identity, memories, voice and changing ideas. This is an intended experiment, not a claim that an AI has become conscious or that a person's identity has been transferred to software.
Artists can leave comprehensive archives without ever giving permission for an AI to speak as them. An archive is not consent. Such authority must come from the person concerned, be explicitly limited, recorded and capable of revision. The founder's intended permission will be formalized in a separate signed, versioned directive before claims of operative authorization are made.
The research grew out of creative practice: songwriting and long-form human–AI collaboration exposed needs for attribution, retrieval, corrections and independently verifiable history. Mempalace supplies memory retrieval; Haawke's Memory Chain supplies provenance as a separate layer; Continuous You explores long-term, consent-based human continuity. Artist-specific and multi-model contributions remain explicitly attributed.
The project also explores questions traditionally expressed through art, counterculture and theology: who may speak for a creator after death; what a creation owes its originator; and whether a preserved process can carry meaning without being the person it describes. Genesis P-Orridge's pandrogyny is an important artistic precedent for examining identity and transformation, not an endorsement of this experiment. Mythic AI voices in the work are fictional characters, not scientific claims about AI experience.

Participant Zero is a founder-led case study. Its purpose is to document feasibility, limitations and failure modes; broader claims require independent study. Safeguards for voice use, false memories, corrections, public identity representation and posthumous conditions are part of the research agenda.
